Banh Mi My Tho has been my favorite banh mi place in the San Gabriel Valley for probably the last 25 years. It continues to be but the competition has been gaining for sure. There are other places with better bread but the fillings are what keep Banh Mi My Tho on top. The grilled beef is unmatched. Once in awhile they run out of their usual bread and get some different kind and that's when the potential is really apparent. But regardless they are amazing as is and so are the meatball sticks (but you gotta eat them right away when they're hot and fresh). I noticed on this last visit that they are starting to use some new employees at the front, maybe because they have multiple locations now. When the Mom & Dad owners are there it's usually spot on but this time it was slightly lacking (hence the 4 stars instead of 5). I hope it's just an adjustment period and they get back to the usual top notch banh mi's.

Their bbq beef banh mi sandwich is so good. A lot of banh mi places near me dont make it with the sweet and warm bbq beef, and if they do the bread is too dry that it hurts the roof of my mouth while eating. About a 10 min wait during lunch hour. They have the cold pho plates with bbq pork and spring rolls ready to go but they are not the $6.50 posted, they have gone up to $9 something. Cash only

I had the roast pork. Rather addictive.

Great balance of meat and vegetables.  I liked the little bit of jalapeño and peanuts they add standard.  

Of course the crusty bread pulls it all together.

Went on a Sunday around noon, the line was pretty long but went by very quick. It was my first time going, so you order inside and get a number from the worker. Didn't take too long for my order given the amount of people waiting outside. Banh Mi was delicious and satisfied my craving. I would definitely come back!

I can see what the fuss is all about! Picked up two sandwiches recently - got the #2 (ham cold cut special) and #8 (charbroiled pork). Both were packed with flavor and very filling!! A very satisfying meal and at a terrific price point. The store is small and packed, but they move quickly. This is grab & go (no place to eat aside from a bench right outside of the store.  I ordered at the counter and waited about 5 minutes for my sandwiches. Easy parking in the private lot. Absolutely would come here again for more sandwiches!

Got the #8 charbroiled pork sandwich ($8) and it was perfect! Pro tip - ask for extra pate because it's delicious, and don't forget to bring cash!

We were looking for a quick breakfast nearby where we were staying and found Banh Mi My Tho. On a Saturday morning around 7-8 AM, there was already a line! We saw a lot of people coming in to pick up orders after calling ahead, so I'd definitely suggest calling in your order to save time.

We chose the #8 since it seemed popular - and it certainly didn't disappoint! The pork was smokey and tender. I loved the balance of lean to fattier pieces, and they were super generous with the amount of meat in general! The picked veggies were fresh, ask for extra jalapeños if you want an extra kick :)

Parking is plentiful. There's no tables around - the place is designed to be mostly for takeout it seems so have a plan or eat in the car!

Good bread, very good texture and very generous with the  filling. Place is a bit small can feel a bit cramped and the line can get very long.

They put a lot of pork and beef into the banh mi compared to other places. For one banh mi, I could split it 3-way to fully feed 3 people. There's not a lot of fat in the meats, which makes this place S tier. Would recommend to others due to the significant amount of meat and low amounts of fat.
